Join us for the 2nd Annual Domestic Violence Awareness Month Resource Fair, presented by YWCA Evanston/North Shore!
📅 Thursday, Oct. 24, 2024
⏰ 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM
📍 1215 Church St, Evanston, IL
In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month this October, we invite the community to come together to share information and discover vital support resources for survivors. The fair will feature services focused on housing, counseling, legal aid, health services, financial wellness, and much more!
Survivors of domestic violence often struggle to leave abusive relationships due to a lack of resources or awareness of what is available. By uniting to share these resources, we aim to empower survivors and build safer, more connected communities.
Local organizations offering a wide range of services will be present, including:
Center on Halsted
Childcare Network of Evanston
Connections for the Homeless
Evanston Public Library
Howard & Evanston Community Center
James B. Moran Center for Youth Advocacy
Montrose Behavioral Health Hospital
North Suburban Legal Aid Clinic
Oakton College
Open Communities
State Senator Laura Fine
Tapestry 360 Health
The Harbour
Youth Opportunity United (Y.O.U.)
YWCA Evanston/North Shore Domestic Violence & Economic Advancement Programs
Zacharias Sexual Abuse Center
This family-friendly event is open to everyone—survivors, service providers, friends, family, and community members! We will offer refreshments, free parking, and free childcare activities during the event.
