Welcome Mindy Scott: YWCA Evanston/North Shore's New Chief Development Officer

YWCA Evanston/North Shore warmly welcomes Mindy Scott, our new Chief Development Officer, to the leadership team!

The role of Chief Development Officer is to oversee all fundraising and development activities for the organization. This includes developing and executing strategies to secure funding from individual donors, foundations, corporations, and other sources.

With over 15 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, Mindy has worked with amazing organizations like CARE, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Inclusivv, and Allstate. She most recently served as the Director of Development at Marwen, supporting young artists.

“I am excited to join the team at the YWCA and have been inspired by the work of the organization for years. This opportunity allows me to align my professional skills with my personal passion of empowering others and working to end systemic harm. I believe in the power of communication as a tool toward progress and I look forward to diving into the work," says Mindy.

As Chief Development Officer, Mindy will bring strategic leadership to the fundraising team to ensure we grow beyond what we do well. She will lead, support, and manage the development team to renew and expand support from individuals, corporations, and foundations, utilizing one on one relationships, campaigns, special events, and more.

Mindy looks forward to returning to equity and justice work right here in Evanston, her home. Welcome, Mindy! We can't wait to see the impact you'll make.
